MR JASON TEH CHOON WEI

After obtaining his LL.B. (Hons) degree from University of Reading, Mr Jason Teh was called to the English Bar in year 2008 and was since then a qualified Barrister-at-law, Lincoln’s Inn. He thereafter completed his pupilage at Messrs Shook Lin & Bok, Kuala Lumpur and was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in year 2010. He began his legal practice in Messrs San & Associates from year 2010 until year 2017 before he joined our firm in year 2018.

Jason is specialized in the area of Banking, Corporate and Conveyancing practice. He has vast experience in advising and drafting various types of corporate and commercial agreements including joint venture agreement, share sales agreement, settlement agreement, non-disclosure agreement, consultancy agreement, conducting due diligence and etc.

He has also represented both foreign and local banks for various types of financing documents in corporate and retail sector both for conventional and Islamic financing. Among others banking transactions, Jason was involved in advising and drafting legal documentations for bridging loan granted by Public Bank Berhad to a local developer for a loan sum equivalent to RM77 million.

Jason also assists real property owners with the acquisition, disposal and leasing of real property assets. He also provides advice to property developers and assets managers on property development regulatory and was involved in drafting various types of agreement for commercial and residential development project in Penang. Further, Jason has represented a foreign electronic manufacturer company for a land acquisition located at Batu Kawan for the acquisition price of RM71 million.
